We are making our way back to Florida from the Thanksgiving holiday in Tyler. Our extra-long weekend trip included an overnight drive on Wednesday night/ Thursday morning, Thanksgiving dinner with one person notably absent (my sister, who was at the Texas A&M game and drove home Friday mor ing), a wonderful baby shower, a trip to Waco to see my dad's team win in a thriller, getting a new phone and, most importantly, lots of time together.

My mom made us turkey sandwiches so we wouldn't have to stop and buy fast food; she knows we hate to stop when we are driving. Anything to make the drive shorter! It hasn't been as bad as I thought it would be, so hopefully that will continue as we pass through Mississippi, Alabama and the panhandle.
